Penton Park Wedding Photography – Cristina & Pat’s Wedding

Penton Park Wedding Photography Sit back and enjoy Cristina & Pat’s stunning wedding by Penton Park Wedding Photographer Paul Tansley. Whenever I meet couples before their wedding day, the one piece of advice I always give them on how to improve their wedding pictures is to be in the moment. Far too many couples spend…

It’s magical… And really incredible work.
    I’m a big fan.
What gear did you use for this? 🙂ReplyCancel

    • Paul TansleySeptember 15, 2017 - 5:54 pm

      Thx Miki. It’s all shot on Canon 5D4’s using mostly Canon 24-70 mk2, 16-35 mk3 (superb lens), 85 1.8 and maybe a couple on the 70-200 2.8

But to be honest, photography is far more than just the gear. It’s about being observant and watching for the moment, plus knowing how to capture that moment. I won’t deny though that the mk4 bodies are superb in low light and grabbing focus. A big improvement over the mk3 version. Everything is daylight apart from the cake and dance shots, which are lit with a small LED panel.ReplyCancel

Millbridge Court Wedding Photographer – Judith & Mat’s Wedding

Millbridge Court Wedding Photography This was our first time shooting at Millbridge Court and I was really pleased to have the chance to capture Judith & Mat’s wedding there in June. It’s another venue that’s very close to our home, just a 15 minute drive away. I can remember when this building used to be…

South Lodge Wedding Photography – Elizabeth & Ramin’s Wedding

South Lodge Wedding Photography Elizabeth & Ramin’s wedding at South Lodge in Sussex, will always stick in my mind as one of the happiest weddings I’ve ever been privileged enough to capture. As a documentary wedding photographer my aim is to capture real, natural emotion during the wedding day. Not people standing grinning at me in a forced…

Froyle Park Wedding Photographer | Annie + Paul

Froyle Park Wedding Photographer Another fabulous wedding at Froyle Park in Hampshire. I love being a Froyle Park wedding photographer, because the venue works so well in images. It’s one of my local venues too, around 15 minutes drive from me, so all in all, it’s one of my favourite venues to work at. This is…

The eye contact the bride has with her groom during the ceremony is amazing, and the speeches look like a lot of fun. Brilliantly captured!ReplyCancel

Lainston House Wedding Photography – Vicky & David

Lainston House Wedding Photography Vicky and David’s wedding day at the end of August brought perfect weather, which was fortunate as they’d planned a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the gazebo at Lainston House Hotel, Hampshire. We love to shoot garden weddings like this one, there is often a real sense of romance and a distinctly English…

Nonsuch Mansion Wedding Photography – Ellie & James

Nonsuch Mansion Wedding Photography • Ellie and James’ wedding took me back to Nonsuch Mansion for the second time this year. It is a beautiful venue, both for guests and as a wedding photographer. A series of adjoining rooms, each with beautiful features and large windows, make for great backdrops for your wedding pictures. Even…

Wotton House Wedding Photography Kirsten and Bret booked us way back in April 2015 (a year before their wedding) for their Wotton House wedding photography in May 2016. Stylish Village Hall Wedding – Gemma & Joe

Stylish Village Hall Wedding Weddings shouldn’t be about how much money you spend on them, they should be about people, hugs, kisses, love and fun. Even on a low budget, you can have a stylish village hall wedding, even the rain doesn’t have to spoil things. Gemma and Joe’s wedding at Rotherwick Village Hall has to be one…

              Photographers Guide to Backup

A wedding photographers guide to backup. I’ve been a photographer for a very long time now.  I started shooting seriously when I was 18 years old (that was 35 years ago), then working as a photographers assistant for 7 years and finally turning professional and shooting for myself 23 years ago. So, I’ve always been…

A Mothers Hug – Images We Love

Images We Love – A Mothers Hug This is an image from a wedding in February this year. After the ceremony, the couple waited in the entrance to the church, as the guests exited, as it was raining outside. There wasn’t a lot of room and I had to press myself up against the wall with…
